EXPERT’S MISSION TO TRAIN

The graduate of the Fellowship in Basic Clinical Mastology, is a professional with high scientific and humanistic training, consono with global standards, and adapted to the particularities of Latin American and Caribbean peoples, being the natural performance space where the graduate will develop. It will be in a position according to the knowledge,

skills and social values assumed to perform in the Institutions of  the traditional Ambulatory Network and in Hospitals of High Public and Private Complexity. Therefore, students are intended to acquire the necessary and sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical experience to carry out the Clinical Diagnosis and Pharmacological Treatment of benign diseases of the breast gland in addition to breast cancer sifting, and acquisition of the necessary knowledge necessary for the management of basic palliative care needed by breast cancer patients in their advanced and/or terminal phase both home institutional, and so to be able to integrate into multidisciplinary teams (integrated into Primary Care Centers or Home Care or Hospitalization Units, Oncology Units) and develop their work in a population that lacks in the present moments of timely care in the clinical diagnosis and pharmacological medical treatment of benign breast diseases and palliation of symptoms in terminal illness , even becoming the ideal professional for the reference by them to the experts in breast surgery, of the pathology that needs surgical intervention by them diagnosed, which will improve diligence in the management of the symptoms of benign breast disease and help to decrease the morbidity of cancer in Venezuela, in its most exposed populations.

EXPERT’S VISION TO BE FORMED

The graduate of the Fellowship in Basic Clinical Mastology, will be a professional in charge of the integral care of the adult population and children capable of developing breast pathologies from a biological, psychological, social and spiritual position; while teaching and research at different levels of action, under principles of quality, social relevance, community sensitivity, equity and inclusion; (c)assisting in this way, with the consolidation of the National Public Health System. And thus improve the mode of action of the student from the incorporation of new content about breast diseases and from the perspective of strengthening their competence and professional performance, which allows to raise the quality of the medical care of women and men carrying breast conditions, adding skills and skills to the doctor for adequate verbal and written communication, develop cordial human relations, developing habits of effective and diciplinated orderly work, gaining experience in group work and in the application of the ethical principles of their practice profesión.

You will have 150 Hours of consultation in a Breast Pathology Unit. Where the patient must have direct care contact with no less than 400 patients.

The Theoretical Teaching will be 300 hours, divided into theoretical classes, workshops and seminars. Delivered In monthly
modules.

ROTATIONS FOR SURGERY SERVICES ARE MANDATORY. ONCOLOGY MEDICA, RADIOTHERAPY. PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY.

It will be mandatory to prelate with the Fellowship in Basic Clinical Mastology, to qualify for the Fellowship in Advanced Breast Surgery.

The Fellowship in Basic Clinical Mastology is not designed, nor does it train for the acquisition of surgical skills and competencies of pathologies benign or malignant mammary gland.
